A Fresh Start

So, I have a new baby, and a new life. We are excited to start this journey into healthy eating. Another impetus spurring me on this journey is that I need to stop eating dairy, eggs, and citrus for about 3 weeks to see if it clears up the baby's eczema. So far it is helping, as long as I keep to it.

I am in love with Ani Phyo's books. She has ingredients that are simple, and I have most of the tools needed (which aren't much).

Her Chocolate Raspberry Ganache cake is phenominal in taste, considering what's in it. I'll take a picture of it later, but you can also see it on youtube:

Last night I made her Cheezy Sauce which doesn't have any cheese, and is made with sunflower seeds. I used soaked Sunflower seeds instead of the dry ones and it was fine. Its got a wonderful yellow color.

I love the combination of this on top of the following:
  • Dandelion Greens
  • Shredded Cabbage
  • Cubed Cucumber
  • Small florets of Broccoli
  • Finely sliced Kale
